There’s something magical about Ireland—especially when you experience it with friends and family. Our 3-Day Ultimate Ireland Tour in February 2026 was everything we hoped for and more: seamless travel, unforgettable moments, and just the right mix of structure and freedom.
Our journey began as we all set out together from EWR airport, excited and ready for a long weekend adventure. The overnight flight made it incredibly easy, and before we knew it, we were landing in Dublin early in the morning, energized and ready to dive in.
Our first stop? Breakfast—and not just any breakfast. We kicked things off with a full Irish breakfast at a fabulous local spot--- Kilberry, complete with eggs, rashers, sausages, and even traditional blood pudding for the adventurous eaters. It was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in Irish culture right from the start. Of course, it didn’t take long before some of our group found their way into a cozy snug, sampling a bit of Irish whisky and setting the tone for a fun-filled weekend.
We stayed at the Ashling Hotel Dublin, one of our absolute favorites in the city. Its location couldn’t have been better—situated right next to a Luas train stop, making it incredibly easy for everyone to explore Dublin at their own pace. The hotel itself is warm, welcoming, and consistently delivers a great experience for our groups.
One of the highlights of the trip was our visit to the Guinness Storehouse. The tour is always a crowd-pleaser, offering an interactive look at the history and craftsmanship behind Ireland’s most iconic beer. We even learned how to properly pour and taste a pint of Guinness—an experience that everyone enjoyed. The tour wrapped up at the famous Gravity Bar, where we took in breathtaking panoramic views of the city while sipping our perfectly poured stouts.
This group set off to the Pearse Lions Distillary for a tasting and had a blast. The Distillary is located inside an old church which added some charm to the experience.
That evening, a smaller group of us—Jim, Colin, Bob, and I—headed to F.X. Buckley Steakhouse on Crow Street for an incredible steak dinner. It’s truly one of the best in Dublin and never disappoints. Afterward, we met back up with the rest of the group at the iconic Temple Bar, where the energy was contagious. Live music, dancing, and laughter carried us late into the night, as we hopped from The Palace Bar, O'Connells and Brazen Head, eventually leading us to Flannery's Nightclub, where we danced the night away.
One of the best parts of this trip was the flexibility. While we had key moments together, everyone had plenty of time to explore on their own. Some visited the historic General Post Office, others toured Christ Church Cathedral, and many enjoyed shopping along Grafton Street and lunch at The Bank. Dublin is incredibly walkable, making it easy for everyone to create their own perfect experience.
In just three days, we packed in so much fun, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Ireland truly is the perfect destination for a long weekend—easy to get to, rich in culture, and filled with experiences that bring people together.
Safe to say… we’ll absolutely be doing this again. 🍀
