Chapel of Apparitions

The chapel of the Apparitions is the "heart" of the Shrine of Fatima.

It was in the place of the Chapel that Our Lady talked to the little shepherds. Out of the six apparitions of the Virgin Mary, five of them happened in this place where the Lady’s indicated that a chapel in her honour was to be built.

Jeronimos Monestary

Jeronimos Monastery, Church and Cloister, which houses the necropolis of the Portuguese royal dynasty. It was built in the early 1500s near where Vasco da Gama's departed on his first journey.
